Mild soreness is normal for a few days. The area may feel tender when you bite or touch it. This improves each day. Use the recommended medication schedule to stay comfortable.

Eat soft foods until the numbness wears off. Then chew gently on the opposite side for the first few days. Return to normal chewing when the area feels comfortable.

Call our office. A missing temporary can expose the tooth to bacteria. We will guide you on the next step and arrange a visit if needed.

For completed root canal treatment, schedule with your dentist as soon as possible for a permanent restoration. This protects the tooth from future damage.

Mild swelling can occur. Use cold compresses in the first 24 hours to reduce this. If swelling increases or affects your ability to swallow or breathe, call us right away.

Some discomfort is expected. Pain that increases after two to three days needs attention. Call our office so we can review your symptoms.

The ligaments around the tooth can be irritated. This is common and improves with time. Avoid chewing on that side until the tenderness eases.

Contact us if you experience:
• Swelling that increases
• Bleeding that does not slow
• Pain that does not improve
• Fever or chills
• A cracked tooth or missing temporary
• Any symptom that concerns you -
Brush gently around the site. Avoid aggressive flossing near stitches or the surgical area until we advise otherwise.
